Our Mission

Malware Analysis Academy exists to make malware analysis education accessible, structured, and safe. We believe that understanding how malware works is essential for defenders, and that this knowledge should be taught with the same rigor and discipline expected in a professional SOC or threat intelligence team.

Our platform bridges the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical skill. Every lesson, exercise, and sample reference is designed to build real analysis capability while enforcing safety practices that protect you and others.

What you will learn

Our curriculum covers the full spectrum of malware analysis skills, from foundational concepts to advanced techniques.

Static Analysis
Learn to examine malware without executing it -- PE structure, string extraction, import analysis, packing detection, and more.
Dynamic Analysis
Observe malware behavior in controlled environments. Process monitoring, network capture, registry changes, and filesystem activity.
Behavioral Indicators
Extract and classify indicators of compromise (IOCs) -- file hashes, network signatures, host artifacts, and persistence mechanisms.
Reverse Engineering
Dive into disassembly and decompilation. Understand control flow, API calls, anti-analysis techniques, and packer internals.

Our Safety Commitment

Safety is not optional. It is built into every layer of the platform and enforced before you ever interact with a malware sample.

1

VM Isolation

All analysis is performed inside isolated virtual machines. We teach proper VM configuration, snapshot discipline, and network segmentation from the very first lesson.

2

No Hosted Malware

We never host malware binaries directly. All sample references point to vetted, external repositories with password-protected archives and clear risk-level indicators.

3

Safety Gate

Every user must complete a safety policy acknowledgement and pass a safety quiz before accessing any exercise or sample reference. No exceptions.

4

Ethical Guidelines

We enforce strict ethical guidelines. Analysis is for defensive learning only. Users agree to never deploy, distribute, or weaponize any techniques or samples.
